Our Doctors
Dr. Kevin Vong
Dr. Kevin Vong received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Manitoba with honours in 2011. He was awarded for excellence in Pediatric dentistry.
He originally chose dentistry because he saw it as the perfect blend of science and art. However, after practicing for nearly a decade, the ability to change his patients’ perceptions about dentistry and their own self-confidence through the care he provides truly anchors him to this profession. He believes that everyday should be enjoyed, no matter where you are or what you are doing. As one of the owners of Aspire Dental Centre Charleswood, he strives to maintain an atmosphere of warmth and a team that is dedicated to helping patients enjoy every dental visit.
Dr. Vong married his favorite human being, Dr. Nirvani Umadat, in 2013. Every year they extend their dental expertise beyond the residents of Manitoba. They are part of a volunteer organization called Kindness in Action and have provided dental care to remote, rural communities of Guatemala, Cambodia, Nicaragua, Ecuador and the Amazon Basin of Peru. Dr. Elysia Lam
Dr. Elysia Lam received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Manitoba in 2016. She was awarded for excellence in Operative Dentistry and was on the Dean's Honour Roll during her studies.
She began her dental career in Morden, Manitoba. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, however caring for children has been especially rewarding for her.
After meeting her husband, Aaron, they decided Winnipeg would be their home. Together, they enjoy ultimate frisbee, snowboarding, hiking and travelling. She is also committed to giving back to her community. She has spent seven years volunteering at the Health Sciences Centre and a year volunteering at the Winnipeg Humane Society.
Dr. Yasmin Elzayat
Dr. Yasmin Elzayat earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Manitoba College of Dentistry, receiving the Faculty of Dentistry Bronze Medal in Pathology, the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Award, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology Horace Wells Student Award.
Dr. Elzayat values open and honest communication to ensure her patients are able to make informed decisions regarding their care. She practices all aspects of general dentistry and is dedicated to providing her patients with a positive dental experience.
In her spare time, Dr. Elzayat enjoys baking for her family and friends, hiking, travelling and reading.
